Millions of Americans are still out of work, there's protesting all across the nation, and the U.S. is still trillions in debt, etc.

I have been voting since 1972 (when nixon was reelected). To tell you the truth, I have never seen the economy this bad, there was a point in the late 70's when it was close or maybe worse (carter administration). The point is yes, both sides have something to do with it, but the funny thing is in 2004-2006 before the house and senate went Democrat. We had unemployment at 5.6 percent at average Countrywide. There is things that the President can do the elleviate this problem. He does not want too, we have been at 9 percent or above for the past 2 1/2 years. People are brainwashed into believing that the Republicans are at fault, this is a Campaign mantra. There are about 40 bills in senate that have not been voted on because the Senate is controlled by Harry Reed, he decides what and when a bill will be brought up for a vote. And yes, I worked for the Federal Governement for 12 years, I have seen it directly. Don't believe what you read or see on TV because every Network twist the facts for whatever side they are in support of. Take a look at the facts, go back and look at the stats. Remember the Government does not make money, everything they have is off of the Taxpayer.

Mimicking jwallbank (although I was too young to vote back that), I would say he is doing such a job that I miss Carter and Carter was pathetic....

This man is not presidential and certainly no leader.  Anyone who doesn't realize that he is deliberately dividing and aligning Americans against other Americans is blind (and those who realize it and don't care are among the worst threats to our nation as there has ever been).  This man is supposed to represent us all.  He is supposed to enforce our laws equally among us all.  He is suppose to honor the constitution, but to him it is simply a document that stands in the way of what he wants to do.  He previously expressed his disapproval of the Supreme Court (an office with equal power to the presidency) and now is advocating completely ignoring Congress (also equal in power to the presidency) in direct violation of the laws of our nation.

Anyone who thinks this man is doing a good job is blind or on the take I would guess.

Thank goodness there a lot of Americans that can see beyond those who are dumping on the President! I think President Obama is doing a fantastic job! With what little he has to work with; he's still trying to 4fill the promises he had made. I think the American people were just sick of the what the old President(s) had done like sent us into economic crash! Ya, the moron rep. president left President Obama literally the *bleep* that he had created!1 taking American troops into war that wasn't ours to fight. People just expected things to be done right then & there but understand that The President has to deal with the other Parties. Why things were not getting fixed as soon as we want it to be. Why we are still in the this economic stand still with job loss & no one hiring. *bleep*, the Republicans can't make it any better b/c if the could they would have comprised with the President along time ago! And we would be accomplishing the goals that Pres. Obama had set. Rep only want what's best for them & not the people. Right now, I plan to vote for President Obama in the 2012 election. Looking at the other candidates all I can say is;  it's so sad, I want to cry. :crybaby2: So, I'm giving President Obama, a second chance to finish the job. I'm independent whether I vote dem or rep will depend on what the person does not because of his party.  8)

It seems very dishonest for you to claim to be independent when your own words betray you (a simple reread of what you posted will verify).  I find it odd you blame Bush but then give Obama slack because he has to deal with the Republicans.  Bush had to deal with a democrat controlled Congress in his last two years while Obama has only had to deal with a republican controlled house (half of congress) for less than two years.  Such bias discredits your entire post and your claim to be independent is most laughable.  The economic crash is directly attributed to the government and things such as the Community Reinvestment Act.  The republicans have for years prior to the crash warned about the risk involved and called for investigations and closer to scrutiny only to be told repeatedly by the democrats that everything with Freddie and Fannie was perfectly fine.  Anyone with any ability to reason would quickly realize that the problem is the government and that the solution is to reduce its power back to the levels it is authorized by the constitution to wield.  If they government had kept to its constraints none of this mess would be here now.  Giving the president a second chance to finish the job is like going parachuting a second time without a chute.

lol hes doing a terrible job, raising taxes, deploying troops and etc... To be honest the only reason he is the president is because of his race... I hear everyone saying "oh snap! Obama is gonna make the white house the black house" and im getting tired of people saying this

p.s. I mean this in the most respectful way I can... Sorry Mr.Obama but please dont run for president again.

I have to agree. I think a lot of people are truly disappointed by him. And all presidents have a mess from the last one but they don't all try to hide behind that indefinitely.
