"If someone listens, or stretches out a hand, or whispers a word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen."

Sadly on a regular basis that does not tend to happen, though it should. So much so that when I met my husband if I said anything nice to him or encoraging, he thought I was making fun of him or joking. People need to work on trust and friendship.

I agree but if things happened in ones past to make them feel they cant trust then it's a long rode in trusting AGAIN. just bear with your husband and he'll get through it with you by his side. NEVER give up on him!!

OH we are getting there. We have been married for 5 years now, and I knew going into it that his family does not ever support each other. He is coming around since he joined the military. With my support and support from other people he didn't know before, it helps. The military is a community. But I think everyone should though out some extra trust and good will everyday. Everyone would end up being alot happier as a whole.
