NBA / NFL / BASEBALL Lock outs When is enough?
« on: November 01, 2011, 02:40:28 am »
I for one get tired of hering how all of these professional sports players hold lock outs for more money.  i say fire them all and hire new players give someone else a chance.
but most of the time the players get the increase that they want, and the additional expense is passed on to the fans .  When are the fans going to say enough?

Until greed comes out of the picture from both sides, no one will agree.

It's been more than enough for me. We have all these Americans out of work due to various reasons, unable to provide shelter, food and clothing, the three necessities to their families and these players want millions and millions for what? Mansions, cars, sex, drugs, alcohol, the list can go on. I know they use their bodies to the brink but they should be more financially responsible to invest in their futures just like the rest of us have to instead of being wasteful

Baseball is an all american game. Has always been lots of fun. Now there is money and contracts thrown in there and folks can not afford the tickets. Do the players care about the fans. There was a time when they were fans. I am sure some do care. What america needs is to learn barter/exchange. Good hearted people are homelss now and they can work in exchange for a room. One hour of work is equal to 10 so if a room rents for 300 as just a bed, a place to sleep. then that is 30 hours of work. If the room includes food then 60 hours of work. for 600 a month. When people who still have learn how to be equal with those who do not have your heart can become a heart of gold. One that willl have a place ready for them on the other side for having shared.
So can the baseball players share their talents for less money? We shall see. :angel12:

I like the response of those hat have sharing their talents for less. But I do not see that happening.  Most of the athletes out there now are rich. and they want more not because they earn it but because they feel like they deserve it, and they do not think twice about the rest of society. (there are some exceptions but as for the majority they DO NOT CARE)  they need to be answered with the answer you do not deserve more, we are just going to give new players a chance hope you leared more than sports when you went to college.  then maybe the games could be more affordable for everyone.

Prime example  the local football team here blacks out the local tv area if they do not sell out the stadium. well the tickets start around 50 and go up from there. Im not sure of many families that can spare that much for a football game.

I also believe that some of the people that deserve bette pay are the ones that put thier lives on the line everyday, Policemen,Firemen,Soldiers They dont just play a sport that at the end of the day really does not affect what happens in your life. they protect our freedom and our safety and if they ask for more money are very quickly told no, but when it comes to sports somehow we as a society always find a way to give more money to millionaires.

Actually, that isn't what is happening at all.  The players are 'locked out' by the owners, this is not a 'strike' by the players.  With the NBA losing money, the players are going to be taking a pay cut.  The debate centers around how much of a paycut they are going to take, and what other concessions the players/owners are going to make.
