Are you nuts about cupcakes?

It seems that they are the big rave now and everybody is coming out with different flavors.  Personally, I don't see what the big deal is.  It is only a piece of cake.  I guess I have made them occasionally, for years, but still wasn't nuts about them.

I guess I prefer muffins.  There is so much more to them.

People like cupcakes because they're cute little mini-cakes. They're easier to handle and consume than an actual cake and they provide the peace of mind that you're portioning your sweets.
There's a lot that can be done with a cupcake, probably more than with muffins (since a muffin is a cupcake sans frosting and the optional fillings/layers.

Cupcakes and Muffins are both awesome. I enjoy cupcakes because they are small, and tend to be a lot sweeter than your average muffin. However, muffins are my main form of breakfast most of the time.

I'm not nuts about cupcakes if they have nuts in them... and I'm not nuts about muffins if they have nuts.  As a matter of fact, I'm not nuts about anything baked with nuts, but I am nuts about just plain nuts.  I'm like you in the fact I prefer a good muffin to a cupcake any old day... sound nutty?

I think they are using it to make a fashion statement. haha. Soon they will be 10.00 for a cupcake and 1.00 for a slice of cake. Think I will choose the cake.

Muffins better than cupcakes?  How can you say that?  Muffins don't have frosting!

It does seem to be all the rage ... even in our small town there is a cupcake shop!  I haven't tried it because I am on a diet but everyone raves about it.  I love all things sweet and I do LOVE cupcakes but Ice Cream is my #1 love and cookies come in a close second place!!   My hubby loves PIES .... any kind of pie!

I'm not nuts but I do love really good tasting cupcakes...especially Georgetown cupcakes--and I actually had a really good chocolate cupcake from one of my students because it was their birthday.
