Favorite holiday

My favorite holiday is Christmas! I love everything about it - Christmas trees, lights, decorations, caroles, the classic cartoons and movies, and  buying gifts for family. My house always smells of cinnamon candles burning, and I always hope for just some snow on Christmas day.

Christmas!  I wait impatiently all year to get the tree up    All the decorations, the beauty, the time spent with family AND the reason for the season.  Love it!!  God bless

I fear I am becoming or have become an "Ebenezer Scrooge" with regards to holidays.
I think it extends from being alone for too long and not being close to my family (emotionally and physically).
I am quite active in my church and they have become like family except when it comes to the holidays. Instead of having a special event around the holiday, they say "We don't do it so people can spend time with their family" or some other blanket statement that they try to apply to everyone.
I used to love holidays and now it is just a depressing time to get through and am glad when it's over.
