I really need to diversify my reading. When I was younger, it was mostly Goosebumps, then for a while I only read when I needed to for school. I've recently resumed reading for pleasure, and have flipped quite a few of Stephen King's novels, which are good, but few I would call favorites. House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is the only one worth of that title so far.

At this moment my favorite book is Fire your doctor by Andrew Saul because I love all the natural way to keep healthy. This book exactly meets my needs:
If you have never tried being a vegetarian, start.
If you’ve never juiced vegetables, start.
If you’ve never taken vitamin C to saturation, start.
If you’ve never taken a course in how to meditate or otherwise reduce stress, start.
If you’ve never given up alcohol or smoking, do it now.
If you have never used an interlibrary loan to get a valuable health book, start.

Lots of good suggestions out there, thanks everyone.  I think the next one I am going to read, is To Kill a Mockingbird.  I did love the movie.

This is probably the most explicit example of belaboring the obvious and being a non sequitur that has been seen thusfar today.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.  I must've read it at least 100 times by now and don't plan to stop re-reading.

I usually am not a fiction book reader.  I mostly like reading factual, non fiction books, ut my 2 favorite books are The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough and The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah.  Both books I started reading just to pass some time, or because I was bored.  I found both books to be so captivating that I could not put them down until I had finished the stories.

The Boy Called It. This is a true story about a boy and the abuse he suffered from the hands of  his mom. Very good book short and an easy read but very sad.

lol all i read r comics. icon_rr

While most people frown upon comics, there are comics of literary merit.  I'd suggest Maus, A Contract With God, Persepolis, American Splendor, American Born Chinese, Pride of Baghdad, and Sandman.

I'd have to say The Brothers Karamazov is my favorite book.

Growing up it was Jonathan Livingston Seagull, but now I'd say "A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.
