Once Upon a Time
« on: November 07, 2011, 08:31:22 am »
I started watching the new show Once Upon a Time. I think it is a really clever idea to turn all of the stories we grew up with into a modern-themed show. Plus, it makes me go back and read about some of the characters I had forgotten about. I really enjoy the mystery behind it all right now. Has anyone else gotten into it?

I watch very little TV. I don't have the time and any spare time I do have is usually taken up by more important things. But I have to say I happened to watch this the first night it was on and now I am hooked! I agree it's a very new concept for a TV show instead of the usual reality/crime/competition, etc. I watched last night's show this morning when I got home from work and it definitely lightened my mood. I work under constant pressure and life and death is with me 24/7 because of my patients. Don't get me wrong, I would never be anything other than what I am, but the diversion of seeing the fairy tales I grew up with coming to life is a great way to stop my brain from overload. The show is very well done. 8)
(I just realized this is the first thread about television I have ever posted in and we have had a ton of them!)

I would be interested in seeing it.  My daughter mentioned that she thought we would like it.

I've enjoyed watching it as well.  I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode and I'm wondering what's going to happen with the Snow White character.  I love watching any type of fantasy themed show and this one is living up to my hopes so far.

The commercials before the show even started had me hooked... I haven't missed an episode yet.  It's a very intriguing storyline.

So far the shows interesting.  I like the idea of bringing fantasy characters from the past into present time.

I like the way they go back and forth from present to past without losing me or the storyline. A lot of shows that have done that bored me or made me impatient.   I look forward to each episode.

I have the show DVR'ed at the moment.  Hoping to catch up this weekend.  Good to hear people like the concept.  It sounded interesting and the few clips of the show looked good to me.  Hoping I'll still feel the same after watching the whole show vs clips.

This is one of my new favorite shows. I can't wait to see how it plays out. I love shows and movies that revamp the fairy tales, like Ever After, and they did a Jack and the Beanstalk with Matthew Modine, that was pretty good, yrs ago.
