Who is coming to dinner?
« on: November 11, 2011, 03:32:34 am »
Are you having a lot of people together this Thanksgiving?  We will be pretty much down to only a handful this year.  My sister is living far away now and all of my nieces etc are out of town.  My son and his family are going out of town so it leaves my hubby and me along with my parents and brother.  My parents are very elderly and don't really eat much at all ... I will be doing the cooking but I still want a big spread.... it just doesn't feel right without the turkey and dressing and sweet potatoes etc....

I am going to my brother's house for Thanksgiving. This will be a very different here since my dad died in March. Also my  sister-in-law, nieces and nephews do not like Turkey. So I'm not sure what were having. I guess I'll have to have to have my turkey dinner at another time. But at least I'll be celebrating with family and there is so much to be thankful for.

Thanksgiving is now held at my sister's house.  It usually just our family and my sister's family and her inlaws.

My two nieces will be home from college for a few days and I haven't seen them since August so I am really
looking forward to seeing them.

Since my hubby is in the military we are away from all our family for Thanksgiving, but we are going to have a military member with no family here over! We like to sponser a military member alone for Thanksgiving every year. Some of them can't make it home and don't has a spouse or children, since alot of them want to try to make it back for Christmas. If their is a military base near by I suggest trying it if your interested in helping out.
