Christmas time is coming soon, What is really the true meaning of X-mas? is it

about getting presents coz, you've been good all year & some fat deity in big red suit will judge whether, you've been bad or good. A situation where kids are threaten they'll only get a lump of coal instead of presents if they've been bad. Though during the times when keeping warm was scarce like the great depression, getting coal for a xmas present would be GREAT x-mas present would be totally great! LoL!!!!
Or is it about a half deity & human born from a virgin & a man calleds a god?. When I found the presents under my parent's  bed on x-mas, I realize that there never was a Santa & god is just man made to scare people & children to following rules. Threat for adults, be good or you'll go to hell, for kids be good or Santa will give you only a lump of coal for x-mas! Be honest, the meaning for x-mas has nothing to do with god or santa, it's all about greed. Any where did the coal come from as a punishment for being bad? Anybody know?

I think Christmas is the season of give and received.  I think that family and friends gather together to have a thanksgiving dinner.

The true meaning of Christmas is that our savior Jesus Christ was born to Virgin Mary on that day.  God loves us so much that He gave His only son to live and then to be crucified on a cruel wooden cross so that we could all come and be with Him in heaven, if we believe in Him and live a life that is pleasing to Him.

for me, christmas is about family..its the only time my family gets together in one place unless its a family emergency..we also can get our parents who are divorced into one place, and we love it.

The true meaning of Christmas...for me...is all about love and compassion.   

Those of us who are Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ because he was a true example of love and compassion. 

The giving part is about loving everyone enough to make sure everyone has what they need.  It's an opportunity to radiate the pure love of Christ.

I don't know...or care...what the coal is about because that's just a game that someone else plays.

I'm not actually sure about the coal being a bad gift, but if you're celebrating Christmas its usually cold, and a coal is a way to stay warm...so.. coal when its cold sounds like a good idea. And the Christmas holiday actually started by Christ believers that wanted to use to replace other pagan holidays.. the X in people using "X-mas".. actually started from the Church, because the "X" actually a greek letter or the first letter for the Greek word Christ...
