Do you ever give to those with signs

I met people who sleep in the desert and in the daytime they hold up signs for money please. I also saw a man in a rest stop come with a sign please help. I have not been brave enough to hold up a sign. People tell me I should as I would be able to buy some decent food. Or sleep in a good hotel on a good day. I live on 380 a month and it runs out before the month is over. Im writing a book about living on the road. If anyone wants to publish it for me please speak up. We can split the proceeds and you can be in the book as well.

Im sorry to hear bout ur troubles its hard all over. I hope ur book goes well. the only thing i can say is maybe just talking to those people and make some suggestions that way it may make u feel a little better. pray for them.

I know a few people who "hang signs". Most of them make some money & then go buy beer & drugs with it & then complain that they have no food or shelter. Most of them make more money than I do (sometimes $100.00 a day).

Just out of curiousity, how do you have internet access? Also, why do you choose to not work a normal job?

I like the ones that "will work for food" but when offered a job, they can't work!

Pan handlers.. no i dont give them money, although one time i did, the guys sign said "I bet you a quarter you cant hit me" hahaha im sure he was making good money that day, i saw several people throwing quarters at a homeless man that day. I just said come over and i gave him 5 bucks. Then i went on my merry way.

I have never given to those holding signs requesting money, food, gas, work, etc. This world is too dangerous to walk up to stranger these days. Sadly.

I haven't given money either. When I was lifeguarding for the park though we would buy bodywash and stuff at the dollar store and put it in there so that the homeless population could take showers and we'd share the 60 tacos that the boys used to get on 29 cent taco days sometimes. One summer we had a guy and his little boy (about 4 maybe) living in their car and they would stop by and take showers. The dad told us constantly how much he appreciated that we did that and didn't make him feel weird. His son was adorable.
