This is hard to do not knowing anything about the  male you are referring to.

Well actually Amazon is pretty good at making suggestions based on personality. Like for instance my husband is a geek LOL! Love my geek. ♥  http://www.amazon.com/gp/gift-central/gift-guides/am/recipient-guides/?ie=UTF8&tag=cuppscoupco09-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325

What is his favorite sports?  What is his favorite band?  Does he need a new watch?  Is he into books get a kindle?  Does he like art find local paintings?

Well, I have found in my case, my husband likes anything that partains to fun time, whether it be hunting, fishing, etc...  My husband HATES getting clothes, socks, cologne, etc...unless it is specialty items for one of his hobbies.  He feels that a gift should be something that he doesn't use/need on a daily basis???  I was kinda raised differently, I love getting socks, clothes etc... probably just depends on your husbands personality.

I ordered a first-edition, signed copy of Michael Moore's new book.  My S.O. is a bit of a political junkie and loves Moore.  He's also very difficult to buy for!

I have been making jerky with a food dehydrator the past couple of years for my dad that I always have a hard time buying for. At least a special food won't constantly remind them how much they disliked the gift because it is temporary and will either spoil or be eaten.

As other people said look at hobbies and interests, think about a need that is not being met (aka what do they complain about), make something personal use your time or energy to make something for them (coupon book of things you will do around the house for them, give a massage, etc..).

Here are some things to think about at least. Good luck.

They say the best way to a mans heart is through his stomach. What if you got him a gift card to a restaurant you usually wouldn't go to. Little in personable but a night away is always fun

I got this idea from my own family. Does your husband have a favorite pair of shoes, and are they getting worn out? If his feet haven't changed sizes, then you could surprise them this a replacement pair!

WOW!!  I posted a response to the original poster's question looking for ideas for her significant other for Christmas gifts.  Came back today just to see what other people responded, and now I have a whole bunch of new ideas for things to potentially look at getting for my live-in significant other.  GREAT ideas y'all!!  Thank you so much for posting, very creative!    :peace:

I think all men love gadgets! I would say a new phone, new laptop, bigger tv, or tv for his garage (if he is the mechanic type), new gps, removable portable hard drive that you can you can hook up to the tv. Just to name a few. Hope this helps.
