Seriously? Clearly people have nothing better to do than to criticize Rudolph.

That's  :bs:. People really need to get a life. Rudolph is a classic and one of my favorites!

I hadn't heard that. Great way to ruin a teaching moment! In order for parents to adequately explain bullying and how it makes others feel, somewhere there needs to be an example of it for us to hold up and for our children to empathize with. Also if you think about it Rudolph is perfect because ultimately he gets to be at the front of the sled leading Santa through the storm so that all the children get their toys. It shows bullying but it also shows how differences are beneficial and that embracing them can lead to wonderful things.

I am getting tired of all this politically correct bull. I grew up watching Rudolph. They should show it every year.

Yeah, but who is "they"?  One guy who has a brilliant PR agent to help him promote his book?

That seems a little harsh. I believe it should be the responsibility of the parent to either keep your kid from watching it if you find it offensive or to teach your child what is real, make believe and how to interpret what is presented in their world. TV isn't supposed to decide for you, it merely informs you if there is certain content in the show that some may find offensive or the age range of who should watch the show. TV is a choice and you can turn it off if you don't like it. There problem solved.

Well I hope the people that make the decisions don't allow that to happen... There are so many shows with that type of scenario, if they banned them all, there would be nothing worth watching on TV.

This time of year seems to bring out the worst in censors. A few years ago people got angry that stores would no longer say "Merry Christmas" and now they refuse to say "Happy Holidays"
It's still hard to believe that they're killing a classic.

I agree, I'm so tired of all the PC stuff going on.  I miss the days when everything wasn't taken so seriously and people weren't so sensitive about things that weren't important.
