I use cash or debit card, because if I have to use a credit card I do need it.  I need to reduce my personal debt, so I
spend only what I have.

I used to be cash only until I realized that I was losing out on cash back rewards by not using my credit card.

I always pay off the balance every month.  My rule of thumb is to never put anything on my credit card that I
cannot afford to pay off when it is due.

I usually save up my cash back bonus until I have enough to purchase something I really want for myself.
One year, with a little help from Birthday and Christmas money, I purchased myself a new laptop.

For really small purchases, I still use cash but for the most part I use the card and earn away.

Since I work online I do use credit. I do take advantage of the cash cash back rewards with my credit card. As much as possible however I do use cash. When I use cash I tend to get a lot of change.

The change I save and deposited into my bank account.I am able to save about $25-$30 a month or more just by saving change! :peace:

I use my debit card only to withdraw cash from the ATM at my bank to keep a little cash in my wallet. For very small purchases or where only cash is accepted, it still helps to carry a small amount of cash in your wallet.

Other than that, I use my Costco American Express Card exclusively everywhere I can. With 3% cash back on gasoline, 2% cash back on restaurants and travel, and 1% cash back on virtually everything else, it's a no-brainer. I make sure I pay off the credit card in full every month by keeping close tabs on my spending. Otherwise, the fees would offset the rebates. Did I mention no annual fee? It's a game plan that works for me.

Definitely credit.  I'm always looking to add miles to my preferred carrier's mileage program and it has definitely paid off.  I'm flying back from Thailand to the US on Jan 20th for a whopping $64...

My debit card can be used as a credit card meanining the money comes out of my checking account.  I don't use Credit cards because I am fed up with paying those high interest to use the card.

i am with you on getting the rewards, so I don't ever use cash unless I have to.  I get rewards from my credit card and debit card, so I use both of them.  For small purchases I use my debit card and I use my credit card for larger purchases.

Debit, debit, debit that way it's a one shot deal and it's done. I don't want to pay interest on something I have already bought and paid for. Debit is best for me. It saves me money. :) :) :)

We use our debit card almost exclusively because we don't keep cash around much anymore.

I use cash if I'm out buying something and use debit when I'm buying online.
