A spoon full of sugar... How about a spoon full of Peanut Butter!!

Have you ever had a label you can not get off?   

I had the drain cover from my brand new washing machine... with a label I could NOT get off.
It of course tore the top of the label off.. leaving the underside of the label and the glue.   

Well for about 6 months plus.. this piece of plastic cover sat on the back of my counter.  I had tried goo-gone, dissolve it, etc.  Nothing worked. 

I was looking up things online one day.. and read something about Peanut Butter.   

It said to use that as a sticky residue remover.

hmm... I was very skeptical.   

I tried it anyways.. What did I have to loose? 

In about an week I checked this.. and would you believe...
    The label lifted right off!!!  IN ONE PIECE!!     

I was and still am AMAZED at how quick this worked!!!

**I remember growing up, my Mom used to use Peanut Butter to get gum out of my sisters hair!!
***This takes that to another level!!!

    Grab a spoon of Peanut Butter for gum, glue, labels etc.. and see how great that works!!

My wife uses a spoonful of peanut butter to "cure" hiccups.

Usually when I need to remove a label, I use a hot hand dryer first and after a few minutes the label & the "sticky" peels right off.  I also use goo-gone in a pinch.  I've never tried peanut butter to remove a label---it's nice to know, thanks!!

Thanks for the peanut butter tips.  We usually just feed it to the birds outside but will try it for removing label and hiccups in the future.  Especially hiccups which I seem to get quite a bit as I get older

I will have to remember that trick, I use the peanut butter jars to store things in have nere tried to use it to remove the label, i usuall blow dry the label to get it off.

It really works great to get the label off the peanut butter jar!!!

Funny... use peanut butter to get the sticky part of the label off the peanut butter jar!

Wow! Never heard of that, but like you I am willing to try anything.  I do use cooking oil to remove sticky from labels put on at stores and that works pretty good too.

Thanks.  I didn't know this tip.  I love tips to use regular household items, especially groceries, to do things like this and replace toxic chemicals.
