Tired of misleading "surveys"
« on: January 31, 2012, 06:58:30 am »
I just spent 20 minuets doing a survey about Target...only to get "sorry, you don't qualify". These survey companies have to be held accountable for this false information. That was definitely a survey I did!  :BangHead:  :bootyshake:  :sad1:  ???  :o

I have found that if I don't qualify for a survey I am told pretty quickly on fusioncash, more quickly than on other survey sites. Thank-you.Drsuzn

I've had that happen too, sometimes after even spending more time on a survey.  Frustrating to say the least.  I almost feel robbed  >:(

It happens occasionally.  More often than not, a survey-taker is routed through more than one set of qualifying questions, (which is why demographic questions get 'repeated'), before getting to the actual survey.  Although it may seem that one is taking the survey itself, (rather than the pre-qualifying screening questions), that doesn't happen as often as one might think.  Even if an 'unscrupoluous' survey comapny is obtaining marketing data without paying, remember that if the survey takers don't get paid, neither does FC.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

That is why I do not do surveys very much anymore, It is bad when you get almost done and then they say you do not qualify after they already have all the answers, I think there should be a five minute rule.

Yeah, I'm fine with not qualifying right away, but those surveys where you are actually taking the survey and then 15 minutes later they disqualify you is what I don't like. That also makes me mad because there couldn't have been many more questions left in the survey. It almost seems like sometimes they survey company doesn't want to pay you, so they tell you your disqualified towards the end of the survey.....hmmm....I wonder......

Today after filling out survey I was told I did not qualify and then it asked if I wanted another survery usually I say no and click off. Today I  said yes. I qualified and got paid and it was a different survey.  So keep trying it sometimes works out. ;D

Agreed!!  And sometimes I've been DQ'd from one that was (claimed) to take longer to complete, said yes to "take another one", and then gotten a nice short one that I was able to complete.  ;D
(Don't get me wrong here...this isn't a frequent occurrence, but it DOES happen!)

How come it won't play?

One thing to keep in mind is that surveys usually have quotas.  It sometimes happens that you do everything correctly, but in between the time you clicked the survey and the time you actually finished it, they hit their maximum for your age bracket, gender, or whatever.  In these cases your answers are thrown out and nobody gets paid for your time.  It sucks, but it's the nature of the survey systems used by the big survey companies (from whom most surveys originate).

I understand your frustration.  That has happened to me a number of times and FC always states that the responsibility is the advertiser.  I think FC should also be accountable.

I can relate to that myself.... Apparently my credentials never qualify me for any either, taking all that time answering all the question just to be told you don't qualify. :sad1:
Makes me want to start lying just to see if it is really my credentials that are actually stopping me from getting qualified.  :confused1:
