Fairness for all Americans!
« on: January 31, 2012, 07:37:22 pm »
President Obama was talking about fairness to all Americans in terms of how the people are to be taxed. Which is to be taxed according to the amount of income you receive. In which the billionaires are getting with it in the expense of the middle class! I hope Obama kicks this into action b/c the middle class is sick & tired of being bled dry from all the illegal things rich people do & get away with b/c they have the bucks to pay off the law to show a blind eye to them.

Everyday, we see unfairness all around us. The regular Joe, will spend years in prison for a petty crime but a bratty celeb will stay in prison for a few hrs for stealing, drugs, drug possession, etc. And still get's better treatment crime after crime after crime! What ever happened with you do the crime, you do the time?

Does anybody know other unfair happenings, please enlightened us!

A lot of things are unfair in life unfortunately.....but with regards to taxes, I wish people knew how it all worked but even so... since when is taxing wealthier people more fair? Doesn't fair mean "equal"? So...equal taxes for everyone?

I don't think more taxes on the rich is fair. Many earned their money through hard work.

You can find me hanging out on Google :)

And many did not.  I bet a lot of those rich people are actually paying less taxes than you.  Mitt the Android Romney, for one.

Do you understand the difference between capital gains, passive income and earned income?  Are you aware that capitol gains are taxed as high as 35% if you do less than a year investment?  Do you understand that the government needs private investors and in an effort to encourage them they provide these low taxation rates or so for long term investments and that these people are leaving their money out there for others to use for many years?  Do you know that if they lose millions in these investments that they can only claim 3000.00 on their taxes?  Are you aware of what would happen if these 'billionaires' stopped investing?  Are you aware that there is no 'class' system in the United States?  Are you willing to pay the same percent in taxation as everyone as those that the liberals/socialists are demagoguing?  Do you understand that Obama using your hate and prejudice to solicit votes from you?

You sound like you don't even know that the economy is not a zero sum game.  These wealthy people are not taking anything from you.  They are providing opportunities and encouraging wealth in others who are ambitious and insightful.  The only reason anyone is being bled dry is that the government is stealing too much money from them.  The government does not make money it can only take money from those that do.  It is spending more than it can steal on things it does not have the constitutional authority to spend money on.  Instead of blaming it though you blame those among us who have managed to succeed and prosper and produce.  I just don't understand your thinking process on this matter.

Being rich is a good thing.  It is a good thing to work hard and be successful and it is also a good thing to invest your money wisely.  It can be quit noble to invest your wealth in fact.
There are only 10 types of people in the world:  those who understand binary, and those who don't.
