I chose this life

Do you believe you chose this life so all your hardships you chose before you were born? I am thinking that is false light information but maybe it is true.

I think that maybe our lives are chosen for us before we are born... It depends on what we still need to learn, I think.

  You know I find the question intriguing but have no idea on how I feel about this or if it even matters.  I read a book by a lady who believes she had died and gone to heaven and she believes out of that experience that not only do we choose but we knew the people close to us in life from before we were born.  I don't know how I feel about all that but just know that I now feel it is important to be the best person I can be and that is a daily struggle in and of itself.

My belief is that all of our free will can't be controlled so the decisions we make in the past will effect our future accordingly.  I don't believe each one of our lives is already predicted before events occur.  There's a reason for it because each of us can make our own decisions and some decisions may take us on a different path but I think it's important to appreciate the good things we have in our lives currently because you never know when something may happen to change it.

As an example on how things change fast would be my sister has been to 2 funerals in 2 years of 2 friends that she had went to school with.  Both of them were brothers.  The one was shot in the head and killed by a friend a year ago and just a week ago his younger brother died in a car wreck.  And their mother was diagnosed with cancer a year ago.

So really even though I have trouble at times following my own advice, we should live each day like it's our last.

In a sense your life is determined before you are born because people rarely change socioeconomic class, although the rest of your life is based on your actions and the decisions you make.

Do we choose our life, who knows? But what we do know is that we affect the direction it takes.
Our lives take direction base on the choices and association we make, and mostly by the information we take in.
There are so many factors that affects our life for example some choose to live their fear while other choose to live their dreams.

I believe in Karma. The life that we have now, is based upon our past life's karmic actions. Similarly, our actions both good and bad will determine our next birth.
