full moon affects surfers
« on: February 04, 2012, 06:30:50 pm »

It is true on the full moon tides are different and surfers go wild as they have some bigger swells. I have been watching them for 2 months now and see the full moon difference.

My baby was born on the "Super full moon" last year haha it was crazy in the delivery room that day too so I believe the superstition!

the moon controls the tides, and the moon also enfluences behavior and additudes.  luner=lunatic, so good point

However space and the moon effect our behavior is based on many factors science probably hasn't even really dived into.
Probably something to do with electro magnetic fields having a reverse pathway effect on our neurotransmitters.  Maybe spiritual chakra activation if you believe in that.

The moon periodically looks red and it's called blood on the moon.  When I was a child I was told it meant there was going to be a war.  It's just the atmosphere causing the red color or partially a reflection of the setting sun.

The moon does effect tides and surfing waves. As the moon waxes from first quarter to full, the high tides get higher. They fall back as the moon wanes toward third quarter then rise again as the moon approaches new. This effects how the waves break. I don't know all the surfing lingo since I don't surf, but I know surfers follow the moon and tide schedules looking for the big ones.

When I was in post partum more babies were born on a full moon. People in surgery bleed more during a full moon. It affects tides for real.
