I do not know what will happen but only God knows when the end will come.  People have been predicting for years and they have all been wrong.  Not even Jesus know when the time will end.  Just look up and be ready for his return.

The Mayans, (whose calendar this is implicitly about), knew nothing of the xtian "god" and had their own - plus, an understanding that 12-21-2012 was intended as an end of a time cycle for them under their "long count" and not 'the end of the world'.
