I also noticed these numerous AdBot posts too. I thought it obtained permission from FC to advertise unless the Admin can verify this is not so. AdBot doesn’t look like a legitimate member but only cares to run it’s own agenda on advertising websites.

That is really weird that it shows up like a person posting. It shows up in every thread now.  :dontknow:

It's just an ad, it's not a FC member posting. FC is a business, placing ads in the forum is just a way for them to keep this site running probably.

AdBot is not a person.  It's an "Advertisement Robot".

The ads are likely here to stay.

If you have your own program or website that you want to promote, you can buy ads that will appear all over the forum.  They cost 15c per click, with a minimum spend of $4.95: http://adhitz.com/en/Advertisers-Browse_Websites?pid=83756

They are, and they help to subsidize the forum posting bonus.

I'm glad to know that they are legit. I was afraid spammers and hackers were going to take down this forum like so many others!

Have you had much feed back from advertisers on how well they have done? I think I'll head over to read a bit more

The ad robut is good for ads you can buy into.  I was getting tired of them but you need to get use to it.
