Offer revoked - what if you've already cashed out?
« on: March 14, 2012, 02:28:09 pm »
I'm just curious - what happens if an offer revokes - such as one you did early in Feb. - but you cash out at the end of feb. and get your cash out in March but at the end of March the offer sponsor decides to revoke the offer.  Is the money removed from future earnings?  Or are all offers checked before fc pays out?  Just curious, as I said.

Usually, if a credit is going to be revoked, it happens before your cashout is paid.  Very occasionally (when we don't get reports in time), you may have a denial occur after you've cashed out and received payment: in that case, the reward amount is deducted from your account balance, going negative if necessary.

I am bummed because I was really looking forward to the upcoming payment for March and just got an email that one of my offers from Feb had been denied, I am curious if anyone else was denied on this same offer:
FC Survey: Mobile Phone Survey (February)    2012-02-03    $1.00    Denied

of course it dropped me below the $25.00 which I have already covered with earnings from this month, but the real disappointment is that the payout was set to go in less than a week and the original offer was done more than 30 days ago. It would be nice if the offers are going to be denied that they do so a little sooner. I would still be in the same boat, but I would probably have gone ahead and cashed out in March a little sooner so as to start gathering for April, and now I will also miss out on the post a photo of your payment bonus as well. Just another disappointment. Not a real happy camper at the moment.

We have an automated system for processing denials.  They are denied within 10 minutes of our receipt of the data.  Denials are usually processed monthly, and that means that a survey or offer completed in the beginning of say, February, would probably not be denied until ~45 days later, around March 15th.

For sure, none of this is ideal.  As it has been mentioned, we lose money just like you.  At the end of the day, we're at the advertisers' and survey providers' mercy, since they cut the checks, and this is how they want to do it.  At least you get a big payment in April :)

It seems to me quite a few people are getting their FC surveys - the newer ones - denied.  Honestly, if mine are denied within ten minutes I would like to know in the same short amount of time.  But I'm wondering, and perhaps administrator can answer this for me - do they still use our data if payment is denied?  Or is there a guarantee the data won't be used?  And, if denials occur on a regular basis from one who gives surveys, do you continue accepting surveys for your fusion cashers from them?  Just curious as to how the little rules work.

We can't guarantee anything involving your interaction with another website, since we don't control it or have access to the data.  But generally speaking, when a survey credit is denied it's because the survey provider can't use / refuses to use the answers you provided.  This happens if you answer too quickly, or inconsistent responses are detected (some surveys have the same question show up more than once, worded differently, so they can check if you're paying attention).

As I mentioned before, fewer than 5% of survey completions are later revoked.  It's true that multiple people have complained about survey denials, but keep in mind that most FC members do not post in the forum regularly, and also people are more likely to post a complaint about a denial than a "thanks, I was credited".

As a FC member, I have become very frustrated with them revoking payment and this is after a month or longer, which to me is very unfair.  Like one of the other members asked, are they still allowed to use our data, which to me, seems like there are a lot of payments being revoked.  If FC is seeing this is happening quite a bit and they too are losing money from these revocations, they should probably reconsidering working with these advertisers and survey companies because it is frustrating to spend so much time of their long surveys, only to be denied payment for your time.  If they feel you are not capable of taking or your being dishonest in some way, which I'm still myself trying to figure out why this has happened to me three times, but am never told exactly why, this is very unfair to people that are spending lots of time on their surveys.  I myself have now decided not to complete any of the surveys again, that's it for me, but I do feel FC needs to consider who they are doing business with and whether or not they are a reliable and reputable company, that's if FC is really losing money as well, or is it just the members that are wasting time and losing money, I would certainly like to know, can someone please share their thoughts on how all this works and how it can be reworked so that it's a fair situation for all parties involved?

I wanted you to know that I can totally see where you're coming from.  I checked into your revoke from March and it seems that the survey at issue was actually a "two parter" -- you had to sign up for a community and then take some further action later on.  The survey credited after you did the first part, but was later revoked because you didn't do the second part.  This was explained in the survey when you took it, but I know that is easy to miss, and even easier to forget after a few weeks.

I am working with our survey partner to try and make this more transparent.  Crediting before "part 2" is completed on this type of survey is not ideal, but unfortunately it's the best we've got with the technological limitations of the survey provider.

Another thing that can cause survey revokes is if you complete it too quickly, or if their system detects inconsistent responses (or responses that don't fit your stated survey profile).  Sadly, we don't get information on the precise reason for a revoke, so there's no way for us to say definitively what happened.  Again, this is far from ideal, but it's a limitation on the survey provider's side.

Who provides the survey fun alcohol survey. I'm going to get in contact and ask why it was denied and maybe this will shed light to other people on fc what not to do.

I was denied credit too for the fun alcohol survey. I took my time, sent truthful answers and still denied credit. Not fair from the survey company.

My payment for the Arts and Crafts survey which I had done on 3-26 was revoked today, I have no idea why, but I always try to answer truthfully on all my surveys and I don't rush thru them. This doesn't happen often, but when it does it is very frustrating. I just try to remember that more are approve and stay credited that not.

I just had a survey come back on me too!  I was trying to cash out, but now with that offer coming back, it put me below the $25.  :(

FC Survey: Mobile Phone Survey (March)    2012-03-26    $1.00    Denied

Don't know why because I don't rush and I don't lie in my responses.  I actually like doing the surveys!  It's a little frustrating and makes me worried that if more offers start coming back it will put my account in jeopardy! ??? I don't want that to happen!

I just had credit for a survey (from a month ago!) denied:

FC Survey: Adult Beverage Study 2012-03-13  $2.30 Denied

What the heck?  I like the alcohol surveys and I darn sure always give legtimate answers.  I want my $2.30 back!

(I'm not blaming FC here or anything, just venting and adding my problem to the list.)

I just had payment revoked also for a survey from 3/26. I know they still use our answers and information. VERY UNETHICAL. I had stopped doing surveys for the reason that I'd spend 20 minutes on one and suddenly NOT qualify at the end. I'm done. This is a waste of time, and honestly, reflects poorly on FC.
