I'm an Illinoisan too and I agree that this weather is freaky. Creeps me out!

Maybe it is a bit weird, but I think it goes in patterns.  One year it's unseasonably warm, like this year...  Last winter it was unseasonably cold and we got a ton of snow.  So it seems like it's weird every year for some reason or another.
