Mad Men
« on: March 28, 2012, 12:25:24 pm »
I am glad they came back with new episodes.  I missed it last year.  I hear they are so authentic with their dates, etc. that they took out a song that was not playing until a little later that year.  Growing up in that time period, I recognize a lot of their props.  Of course, Don Draper is not hard to watch.  Peter does an excellent job at being a PITB.

Bumping up this old post simply because my husband and I have started watching this on Netflix, and we're completely hooked. I can't believe I never watched this show before. We're almost half way through Season 4 and I'm going to be going through withdrawals waiting for Season 5 to be available.

I recognize a lot too. The pregnant women smoking and drinking is just a jaw dropper to watch, but I do remember that. And the clothes... wow.

Ive never watched it. I have always liked house and ncis. House had their series finale this year. Ncis is coming back. They have alot of unbeleieveably stupid shows out there.

My wife and I are always looking for new shows to watch and we tried to watch Mad Men but couldn't get into it. Maybe we'll give it another try. The way people talk about it, it seems awesome, it just didn't grab us in the first few episodes, so we gave up on it.
