Happy Resurrection Day.

You mean, 'zombie day'.  As in "walking dead".

Yes, this is the reason we celebrate, because Jesus went to the Cross for us. Jesus was crucified for our sins. Then He rose from the grave. We will do this as well one day, as we accept the gift He has given us, forgiveness for our sins so we can be with our Father in Heaven.

Oh, you mean the 'Ransom Theory'?
Soteriology: the alledged basis of 'salvation' which is supposedly 'grace through faith', (which has no rational basis), but
not by grace alone through faith alone, rather through a new birth achieved by a combination of faith,
repentance, water baptism, and baptism in the Holy Spirit, (the last essential to salvation).  None of
the foregoing purely specious religious concepts has any evidentiary basis other than sophist circularity,
('having faith that such is true because faith is required to believe that it's true').

The ransom theory of 'redemption':
This was the dominant belief in the early Christian church. It has also been called the "Classic" theory
of the atonement/soteriology. The early church father Origen (185-254 CE) was a leader of the Alexandrian
School in Egypt. He suggested that, as a result of the sin of Adam and Eve, Satan had acquired a formal
dominion over, and ownership of, all of humanity and the rest of the world. In order to free people from
the grip of Satan, God agreed to arrange the death of Yeshua, his son, as a ransom price to be paid to
the devil. This would formally compensate for Adam and Eve's sin, and would release humanity from Satan's
grip. Origen wrote: "The payment could not be made to God because God was not holding sinners in
captivity for a ransom, so the payment had to be to the devil." Origen believed that Satan accepted the
offer because he assumed that he would end up with ownership of Yeshua/jesus. The devil didn't realize
that Yeshua would escape his clutches. God deceitfully pulled a "bait and switch" operation by resurrecting
Yeshua a day and a half after his death on the cross, (not three days). This left Satan without any
reward/scammed.  This ransom rationalization was later altered after the twelfth century CE to a variation,
(anyone born of the Adam/Eve subsequent incestuous matings was inherently 'sinful' and needed 'redemption'
even though there supposedly wasn't anyone else to make babies with). This ransom variation remains an
illogical bait-and-switch meant to lull the gullible into abdicating their 'will', (essentially naming 'god' as the
beneficiary of their will; possession by any other name stinks as badly).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
