I pray all the time, even in public.  Who cares if people stare at me.  What bothers me is if I am praying correctly, if I am praying for the right thing.  I would love it if there was no more illness, pain, greed, murder, sorrow, selfishness etc.  I know that if I pray for peace in the world I won't get it directly.  Maybe something small happens to give us a taste of peace.  I stopped praying that my illness with be cured because, it just seems selfish and that I am supposed to have it.  If everyone in the world were well then we won't learn.  I pray that people can get jobs, then I see an article that says 120K jobs have been added during the month of March.  Maybe as a people with have to pray for the right things together.

I believe in the power of prayer and working with energy; however, I don't believe there's a "right" or "wrong" way to do it.  I believe there is strength in numbers if we all want to focus on the greater good.
Have a great day!

there really is no right or wrong way to pray and especially no right or wrong thing to pray for. praying is your direct line to connect with god. speak with him about whatever is most important to you. he doesnt always respond or grant you what you asked for but he always listens.

It doesn't matter what you pray for; none of it will ever come true because of a prayer.  So do something else to try and save the world.

Thank-you so much, I like this!
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

Sure "they", (rather you), do.  You're neither "jedi" nor "sith" ... you may not even be "johnnie" for all we know.

For those that don't believe in God, I understand.  For those that believe in a God or higher power/being, I understand.  I don't pray for things to happen and when it doesn't I cry there is no God.  If I can make things in the world better, I do!  I hope everyone finds whatever they are looking for in life.

What?  Your sentence doesn't parse well.  It comes across as 'crying that there is no god after not praying for things to happen'.

If I can make things in the world better, I do!

It'd be nice to work a little bit on grammar in order to generally increase literacy in the world.

Sometimes when we pray, we don't ask if it is God's will.  I guess we need to start the day off with "The Lord's prayer".  It says it all!

Hypothetically, if it is "god's will" no matter what is 'prayed for', then 'praying' is superfluous.

"Despite the Bible's prohibition on magic, prayer is one of the most used forms of magic in the world. Specifically it is a form of theurgy, a type of magic which invokes the presence or actions of one or more gods. So apart from the fact that prayer is useless, it violates the laws of the Bible, meaning all good Christians should kill anyone who prays, (under the "not suffering a sorceror to live" clause)."
