;D Not a bad idea but regardless, this is the best earning site I belong to and has more and better earning opportunities for us folks who don't qualify for many if any surveys and don't want to "buy" or use a credit card for stuff.  I love this site and it is a big help to my family finances.  So keep up the good work FC even if you don't decide to give a bonus for membership status changes.

They'd have to monitor that though, to avoid rewarding people who are simply spamming, which could get complicated.

Personally I'd rather be rewarded for being an active member of the site then be a frequent poster in this forum.  That doesn't really require as much monitoring and it encourages people to come by daily if they don't already.  I know of a few sites that have you click a button on the site to indicate you've stopped by or fill out a fun, 1 question survey that members have submitted.  Neither is all that complicated and you could reward people for being active X days straight or for being active the entire month or whatever.
Yea, that is a good idea, and could be used in all sorts of ways. A one questions survey sounds Fantastic too.

I think it's a nice idea.. I earn so much more here than other sites!! I guess for some it would take some patience etc for the monthly payout etc.

I totally agree with ya, i do make more here than ANY OTHER SITE...nice comment  :)

I noticed that I went from Newbie to Jr. Member at some point in the last day and it got me thinking....how about a penny or 2 for each elevation in member status?  Unless there is already a reward for moving up in status that I'm not aware of....is there?

There's no particular monetary reward currently offered for the number of posts made, (member status is based on that factor), beyond the $3 monthly posting bonus even the newest member can receive.

Since any bonus would have to come out of FC's revenues, you might want to offer some suggestions as to how that would benefit FC, (they are a business afterall).  Btw, 'keeping members happy' would entail offering bonuses for all manner of things too, (birthday bonuses, time on FC bonuses, bonus bonuses ...).

I see your point, but I'm wondering how do some of the other bonuses benefit FC, for example paid to post, weekend promotion, penny for your thoughts on daily surveys that don't qualify...?  I just think the more people are on the site, they see their money add up and they're more inclined to STAY on the site, and therefore do more offers and surveys.  Just sayin'  8)
I think FC does benefit from the paid to post, in a couple ways.

First non members viewing the forum, and those doing search enginges can see the posts and be inclined to join.
Also it is a good advantage over competitors (I dont know of any other PTC site that pays you $3 for posting in a forum!)
But the most important benefit is that it keeps quality posts coming in which allows questions to be asked and answered, helpful tips to be given, and can keep members from getting easily discouraged. I know the forum helped me out greatly when I first joined, and still does from time to time.. even if its just to rant or vent or to make sure Im not the only one, ect.
You can make the arguement that all that would still be there without the bonus, but Id be willing to bet there are far more posts, and far more quality informative posts, on the forum as a result of the bonus

The penny for getting DQed I believe came from a ton of members requesting some form of payment for DQs, so that benefits by showing the members that they do listen, even if they cant give alot they still gave us that occasional penny, which is more then we had. So that improves customer satisfaction a little.

As for the contests.. I dont see a direct benefit except that it gives something fun to do and keeps us coming back to the forum twice a week and is just another unique perk that FC has over competitors.

I was thinking about some extra cash per level. maybe 10% on offers, surveys at the top. whereas the lower levels get 2% or 5% bonus cash.

As the first FC member to Platinum level, one would think I'd like your suggestion quite a bit however, let's have a closer look at it ...
At +10% per/posting level, that would kick in at the "full member" level, then another 10% at each of the subsequent levels brings us to +70% at Platinum level, (where a $1 survey would net $1.70 to a prolific poster at the Platinum level and a $2 survey, $3.40 and so on).

That might actually be viable for FC since they get paid when survey/offer takers get paid and such 10% bonuses would likely increase the number of survey-takers, (due to increased incentives), which would increase FC's revenue sufficiently enough to pay those bonuses.  One drawback for FC would be that they've indicated bonuses for posting a lot, (even if they are "contributory", FC?), would significantly increase the amount on non-contributory posting 'noise' on the forums.  I suppose it would come down to a cost/benefit ration decision on FushionCash's part.

Thanks, although lately I've begun to wonder whether such "anniversaries" are intended to correspond with "Silver, Gold and Platinum" memberships ... because that might imply that I'm older than dirt or something.

All interesting ideas, maybe someday if the site grows large enough to handle it. For a long time we all thought the penny for attempting surveys would never come about but it finally has for a few of the FC surveys, so we can always hope and just continue to return and see what develops. Also keep submitting new and fresh ideas and you never know, one might just take off and be a great new addition.

you know its kinda funny how i have been working my but off for this money but there like 0.50 cents or 1.00 but on the 10.00 dollar ones you have to pay 8.95 cents plus s&h thats so not cool checks are only what 70.00 dollars and sometimes they dont give us the money. And it takes a month to get our checks approved. We have to take forty five offers to get enough money to cash out. Isnt that funny? We work for five hours and barely get enough money!      >:( :bs:

Get a real job then...this is for supplemental income.  You aren't going to get rich filling out surveys.

Yes. I thought about that too when I went up from being a newbie, but I think the "ranking" is just for the forum based on how many posts (or replies) you have on the forum. But hey, that would be awesome, and would encourage people to post more in the forum.

Membership designations indicate how many posts a member has made.  Kohler doesn't want to encourage 'flooding' the forums with posts by paying any more than the $3 monthly forum posting bonus, (paraphrasing Kohler's post in that regard).  In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if my Platinum membership level, (which does not entail a LearJet or, a bar of platinum, dangit), was considered to be a 'posting-overdose'.
