I cant believe I get a bleep for that...it's his name for goodness sakes

Well, you could've said "Richard" since he was born as Richard Wagstaff Clark. ("Wagstaff?", that's a new one)

Yeah...Rich would have been fine...i appreciate your willingness to be sensitive though....indeed, RIP

It's an automated censor doing the *bleeping*, I'm just one of those who find that amusing.

Storm that was really uncalled for, when this was posted no one knew the name would be bleeped.  We are talking about a great american icon D.clark.  New year's eve will never be the same wtihout him may he rest in peace.

Thanks, miss "ajami".  No doubt certain assumptions were being made in error regarding the *bleeping* *bleep*.

OMG! I thought D. Clark was going to live forever! I think I was in my pre-teens when I first saw him on the tube.
& year after year that I see him, he never changed, He looked the same as the first time I saw him to  the present. I wondered if he had some secret cryogenic youth lab in his house to restore old & dying cells. Great now, he's gone & will never get the  secrets on staying young looking for ever. RIP Clark, :peace:  :crybaby2:  8) :crybaby2: ;D

Personally I think Mr. Clark would have gotten a good laugh out of getting bleeped; he had the reputation for being so wholesome and positive.

There's no doubt he had a huge impact on rock and roll programming and on entertainment programming in general.  I admire his business smarts and also have real affection for the man.  He will be missed.  :angel12:

Ya...I grew up with *bleep*.  He seemed like a very personable individual.  I also remember watching American Bandstand on Saturday mornings.  Loved the music, the teenagers and the funky way they danced back then.  I still say...

New Years Eve isn't the same without him.

R.I.P. *bleep* and thanks for everything!

Bleeped for using Clark's first name? Seriously?  Anyway rest in peace Richard Clark!  Helping the multitudes...I never heard of anything bad that he was engaged in.  No murdered ex-wives, no drug or addiction problems, no extra-marital affairs...seems to have led a pretty, morally-clean lifestyle.  I think that he did the New Year's eve Ball-dropping out about two years longer than he should have.  His family probably pushed him into that so that they could monoploize on a little more cash.  His appearance over the last two years made New Year's celebrations a bit more somber and somewhat sad as you watched him struggle through his stroke-crushed body.
