we go to walmart for just about everything, except things i would use a coupon for ,or fresh meat., for that stuff i go to our local grocery , they will double a 1.00 coupon....plus my husband works at walmart , so we get 10 percent off of everything....

Walmart is the only shopping in my small town and I can get almost everything that I need there.  They are building a Target about 8 miles away - yay - my 10 yr old likes their clothes and their dollar aisle.

I used to be ok with going to either one. Then I had an altercation with the guy in the produce section at WM. I now do 99% of my shopping at Target. The grocery stores here are insanely expensive, so I've always gone to T or WM for most of the grocery needs.

TARGET for sure the prices are good. and the employees there are really polite compared to the rudeness at the walmarts close by. target is also cleaner the last time i went to walmart i saw a mouse and i am terrified of them. i have not stepped a foot in walmart in a couple of years.

Depends on what you are looking for.  I like Walmart because the prices are lower.  Although Target stocked some really beautiful items.

I like Target for their clothes and some of their exclusive food brand items. They have good chips and snacks and stuff. Wal Mart is cheaper, but I usually only go their to get food items and maybe some cheap electronics ( I just bought a keyboard there the other day). The one by me also has some good snack foods that you can only find there (Flamin Hot Cheetos  :) )

Walmart is better for price...but you get what you pay for. I say Target carries a better store brand.  It does cost a little bit more than the walmart stuff but at least it wont break on you only  a wee after taking the thing out the box...ugghhh..bad memories!

I personally prefer to shop as Wal-mart.  I can get the same things as Target but usually at a better price.

I shop at Walmart for groceries and health care items. Target, Old Navy, Dots, etc, has clothing and shoes that are more my style, and I can usually find better + cheaper electronics somewhere on the 'net.

Edit: Also, I agree that employees of Walmart tend to be pretty rude. I've been laughed at for tripping and seriously yelled at for trying to grab a hand basket near the cigarette cabinet.

We have both Walmart and Target. I shop at both. But mostly at walmart because it has more affordable pricing and bigger food selection than Target's food section. But I have noticed Target has somewhat better quality items and bigger selection of toys and household items. I just keep an eye on both for clearance signs! Great deals can be found at both places just have to keep your eyes pealed.  :)

I would say that Target is better because they give back like 5% to the community...however since the closest Target around me is like 45 minutes away I'm not able to go there often so we mostly go to walmart...

I am not a big walmart fan though because of what they do to the smaller businesses...at least target is trying to give back!
