That depends upon the type of business started but, mostly yes - it's harder than most people might imagine, (although some businesses are easier to start than others).  What did you have in mind?

Nothing worthwhile is easy. The harder you work the better chance you have for success. of course a good idea and business plan help.

Starting a business, depending on what it is is not the difficult part. It's time consuming to make a business plan, set up the books, get licenses, etc.  but not hard. The hard part is getting traffic to your business. You really need a plan to get customers and have them return while getting new customers. Networking is the key in helping anyone in business! You don't have to know how to do something that concerns your business but you do have to know how to find someone that does. Would like to know what kind of business you were thinking of starting. Starting a business takes work but it is satisfying to know that you are working 100% for yourself (YOU, INC.)  I think that sarting a business around something you enjoy doing is great and twice as likely to be successful.
