Rent or Own

I rent my house from my parents and someday plan on buying it from them.

I own, when i was single i rented as i had 2 jobs and no time to do yard work. Now am in my own home and enjoy doing all that goes with it. Yeah i get tired but it is a good tired. Also am carring a mortage from other house that was sold, so making extra off it on the interest. Life is a gamble but sometimes you have too.

I've been blessed in so many ways to figure out what it is I like when it comes to renting vs. owning.  My mother let me live in her house for 10 years only having to pay utilities and taxes.  Than I built a house and lived in it for 2 years.  I left the marriage that had occurred in and now I'm in an apartment.  Coming from someone who's experienced both without getting to involved in details - I'd have to say renting is a better option for me and my family now.  I've learned I'm much better with money in the long run when I rent and don't spend it on maintenance on a home.

We Own our home ...  I just married my husband about 3 years ago and he owned the home actually.  I was renting an apartment .... so I am VERY VERY happy to have a wonderful home.

Do you pay rent or do you own your own property. I pay rent. I hope to one day have a house of my own with a beautiful pool in the backyard. Until then I will count my blessings and be grateful I have a roof over my head.

I am blessed to say that I own my home and property. As a matter of fact I've been doing some much needed painting to the garage and miner repairs around house and such. I love being outside.
