What is your favorite kind of book to read?

I've read a lot of psychology/self help books, then spiritual/self help books.  Now I'm sick of being so serious, I want to read for fun so I've returned to my love of fantasy/sci-fi books.

We are avid readers but primarily nonfiction - am usually reading for research on a topic of interest.  Occasionally read fiction when someone recommends a particularly good series.

I like reading young adult novels.  They're fun reads, so long as I find the right book.

My favorite books are about crackheads and teens not having parents and trying to not to tell anyone at school and liars, etc. Lol basically i like drama filled stories.
In highschool my favorites were, Dont you dare read this, Mrs.Dunphrey , The Skin Im In, & other crazy books i cant remember the name of. I also loved Junie B. Jones books when i was younger!

I read almost anything except *bleep*. If it is a good book will read all of it if it is not i will just put it down and go on to something else. We were brought up reading (telling how old i am) never saw a tv until i was almost 12. Haven't really missed it when it is not on. Prefer to read. Wish this younger generation would.  Now it is all texting how are they going to learn. some can't read now.
