Confetti cake blizzard at DQ
« on: May 12, 2012, 08:39:16 pm »
Has anyone tried the Confetti cake blizzard at DQ? As an icecream lover, here is my review, lol.

-the cake pieces did not do it for me. they were both dry and gelatenous all at the same time, and didnt have much taste, but i did like the flavor of the soft serve and icing parts of it. also, the crunchy sprinkles were yummy.

I LOVE Blizzards, so much so in fact, that I signed up for the Blizzard Fan Club some time ago. I get 6 coupons a year emailed to me for a BOGO Blizzard. However, I have yet to try the Confetti Cake one.

Have not tried it. The part where you say "the cake pieces did not do it for me. they were both dry and gelatenous all at the same time," Really sounds gross so I do not want to taste that.

LOL. sorry to gross you out.

Its just that it really isnt real bits of cake. it is some fake cake substance. the icecream and flavoring is good, so i just picked the cake pieces out. :)

Most restaurants, especially massive ones like DQ don't use real ingredients in their foods.

I really like the heath and butterfinger blizzards, I think I will stick to those.

I have never been satisfied with DQ ice cream cakes. Baskin Robins on the other hand has the best ice cream cakes ever!

I am a big fan of DQ but that is a little more creative than I like to get.  Just my personal preference, but I prefer to keep it simple.  A nice little blizzard maybe with oreo in it.

If I am going to splurge at DQ, it is not going to be on confetti cake! I'm more about the chocolate.
