If we're talking a book series, it's Lord of the Rings, hands down.  If we're talking a single book, then I'd have to say Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard.

I don't remember the name of it, but in high school I had a book that was a collection of short science fiction stories.

I have several that I have really enjoyed. When I was a child, I loved the book Into the Land of the Unicorns. I also really liked The Phantom Tollbooth. Angels and Demons was a book I found myself glued to, it was really good.

I could never choose a single favorite book:

I read a lot of what is considered in the Horror genre, but I wouldn't necessarily
classify some of it as that. My favorite author is Dean Koontz. My favorites of his
are the Chris Snow books ("Fear Nothing", "Seize The Night") and the Odd Thomas series.

I really like John Saul. "Black Creek Crossing" is my favorite of his.

Ridley Pearson is good with Crime Fiction. I love all of his books that include
Lou Boldt/Daphne Matthews as characters.

I also enjoy a little Young Adult Fiction from time to time. Harry Potter,
The Inheritance Cycle (the Eragon books), anything by Rick Riordan.

The Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay.

 :)

I don't feel any need what so ever to read fiction books.  The only books I read are about something real that I like where I feel like I will learn something from the book.  To each his own though, as I know many enjoy reading fiction novels.

I loved "My Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn ... Oh my gosh, this book pretty much made me think about the world we live in and how things got to the way they are now. I really recommend it to anyone questioning everything about human intuition, education, food, how jobs came to be (when at one point we were hunters and gatherers), it will help anyone view life through a different scope. I read it when I was in high school so I was already starting to think about these things and reading this book was one fulfilling mental experience.

What a hard questions. I love books and choosing a favorite is like picking your favorite kid. I have a whole bookself of my favorites. I must love them because I keep moving them ;D. I like sci-fi, mysteries and the classics the most though. You are never bored if you have a book

I love the Harry Potter series, Phantom Tollbooth, any books that are weird/horror stories. Right now I'm reading the Chronicles of Narnia. I started reading them years ago but stopped. Don't remember why. Now I'm on the last book.

Certainly a difficult question.  I thought I had an answer of "The Dragonbone Chair" but then I remembered "The Complete Book of Swords" and then I got nostalgic and thought back to books I loved in my youth like "Cemetery World" and of course any of LoTR series.  It soon became certain to me that I couldn't say I had a favorite, or at least it might depend upon my mood at the time of asking.
There are only 10 types of people in the world:  those who understand binary, and those who don't.
