It doesn't seem like there's a big market for home-made trinkets and such, but every bit helps.

There really isn't much of a market. But You can sell anything if you can find the right buyers

I've listed several items on there, but I've only ever made one sale. It seems like it's not that worthwhile unless you have a ton of stuff to have a huge store. I was disappointed to find out that it's not really good for those who only have a few items. That's what I thought was the whole point of listing on there, rather than just having your own website!

I have friends that have been sucessful on etsy, but it has taken hard work. They say it is full time job, not a hobby and it did take them awhile to build up a clintel. If you like making what you are selling, it dosn't hurt to start small and work you way up, just be patient you never know unless you try

I have several friends that list items on Esty and are doing very well. In the next few months, I will also be listing several items when I get the time to get the listings together. I'm hoping it will be a success for me too. The biggest thing with any website is networking. Gotta spread the word to be seen. Give it a try, won't hurt.

Anything home-made. You can only sell products that you, yourself, have made. Check it out. You can find some very interesting and creative things. It may also give you some inspiration to give it a shot yourself.

I just LOVE shopping there, especially for gifts because it's so easy to find really unique things for people that "have everything".  There's only one seller that I have been a repeat buyer from though (many repeated purchases) not because the others were "bad" but rather because there's more of a "need" for what she makes.  I love just browsing on Etsy to see what's new...

I would think if you sell something of good quality that is a unique offering, you could do pretty decent. It will take a little bit to get your name established and isn't as popular as other bid sites out there. My mother only learned of it this last week when I left a window open on her computer for something I had purchased from Etsy.
