BS Survey
« on: June 20, 2012, 08:20:51 pm »
I just took a survey about Nair/ hair removal products for 23 minutes.  The survey was listed to last 18 minutes.  I answered several pages of those lists where you rate most to least with about 20 items per page. It even asked me for a written description.  The survey was very obviously coming to a close and then said I didnt qualify!!!!!!!! wHAT?!?!?!?!?  Then why did you care about all of my other stupid answers!!!  Why do you want my bikini wax habits if I'm not qualified to report it to you!  And yes, I answered honestly.  Its the only thing I know how to do.  And no nothing was wrong with my browser or cookies.  Sometimes, the truth is just that survey companies don't want to pay but want the info!  Hopefully, FC catches on to those who are guilty of this practice and stops accepting them.  It will be the only deterrent.  I wish someone was near me to kick.  I wish there was a little emoticon picture of a boot kicking.

Unfortunately, that happens. That is part of the reason why I don't do surveys anymore. It is really crappy that they don't qualify until AFTER you have given them all their answers. It's wrong

Thats a shame. Shame on that company for using you and your time. Same thing happened to my niece. She is a new mother and did a survery for new mom's. She filled out almost the whole lenghty survey and they disqualified her. I think these companies should be banned BANNED BANNED.

I happens.  I've done several surveys between 15-20 minutes and have been disqualified whin filling out personal information.  It is highly annoying, especially when you're doing a survey with a meter and you're at 90 to 95% before being disqualified.

I agree.  They shouldn't ask personal opinion questions if they don't intend to pay.  That's just wrong!  I suppose it would be a pretty cheap way for a competitor to cause bad feelings toward Nair, which was mentioned repeatedly.

I had the same problem with this survey as well.  If companies want our honest opinions and want a good cross section of the population to answer, they should make these surveys honest and not dq us out when we're at the end.  I had one where I was on the "for classification only" purpose and was 98% done, and it dq'd me out when I answered no to whether or not I considered myself transgendered.  That's a dishonest business practice.

This happens to me all the time and it makes me so mad! i will spend 20 to 30 mins doing a survey then the couple last questions it will disqualify me. I think we should get something for trying.

I had the same thing with the transgender question.  On the other hand, some of the surveys I have tried ask me the same qualifying questions about 20 times (usually race) and I just plug along hoping I will fail just to get out.

I did this survey and it was kind of tedious, but it credited for me. I make a lot from the surveys, I have one that I made 5.00 off of- I wouldn't cash out without the surveys! Sorry to hear about your bad experience!

It is beyond frustrating to lose a survey at the very end, when it is through no fault of your own. I sympathize with you and understand your anger. 99.9% of the money that I am able to make here on FC comes from completing surveys. I have learned to some extent to accept that this does happen, sometimes repeatedly. I used to say that I am earning 100% free money, so I could bear the loss of a survey, but lately when I lose one at the very end, I lose it. I have even cried. That is why starting this month I have had to cut my surveys back to one try a day. The upset is not worth the price for me.

The same happened to me! It was frustrating as hell! And I never got my 1 cent we are supposed to get when we start but don't qualify for survey either! :BangHead:

I think these types of surveys should be in their own category...something called "Long Qualifying App" or something, so that you know GOING IN, that you will have to fill out a lengthy qualifying survey before even being made aware if you qualify or not. That way you can choose to take the survey and be aware of the risk of not qualifying.

In my opinion, surveys of this nature make me feel like they phish for info without paying for it, which is pretty sneaky.
