The surveys are usually based on demographics, so there's nothing you can do to get more surveys. Persistence and patience is the key. Just keep trying and eventually you will qualify for a survey or two.

Hi,  I am new at taking surveys - but so far I have been disqualified 90% of the time.  If anyone has a suggestions I am open to them.  Thank you.

Hi eleungwt,

That's just the way it is with surveys. There is no pre-determining what they are looking for in your responses. The best thing to do is to continue being truthful in your responses and one day your answers will be just what the survey's client is interested in hearing about.
In the meantime there are lots of other ways to earn money. I wish you the best.  :)

Yeah definitely don't lie about stuff because the information will be saved and then you may never qualify for a survey again.  It's better to be honest and sometimes you may qualify and sometimes you may not.  Do what you have time for and patience is the key.  If you have no patience I'd suggest doing the other ways to make money here instead of just surveys.

Only if the survey-taker rushes through a survey, (that's just one of the criteria for being disqualified).  The best way to never being DQ'd from a survey is never to take one.  Everyone gets DQ'd sometimes.  If it happened all the time, people would stop taking surveys altogether and neither we nor FC would get paid.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

On one survey site I belong to - Mindfield - time and again I was disqualified for surveys - I believe mainly due to age (56).  I did have a couple little ones I had qualified for, and slowly managed to build up my earnings there right now to 12.00.  Then, after months of nothing, I got a survey the other day - one where I get to try and product and will earn 10.00 for doing so!  I held my breath, took my time - and lo and behold!  I was selected!  This will bring me up to 22.00 - a  nice amount to cash out - plus I get some freebies.  For the most part, though, I've found with the survey sites I belong to I tend to qualify more often for the lower paying surveys - two bucks and under - than anything higher.
On this site - I've gotten a sixth sense about whether or not I will qualify based on the first few questions asked.  This allows me to simply stop when I sense that I won't.  Believe it or not, that has worked, and on the rare survey I attempt all the way through the screening questions I'm generally "in".
End the suffering!  Get your cats - and all strays and ferals - spayed and neutered!
