I have found better results by calling and asking for help from my provider.  Warning: this can take a lot of time.  However, because of the time you can qualify for a discount.   For me I was going to have to pay 19.99 for my new smart phone.  Nothing fancy, just a Pantech.  The wait was due to computer rebooting, but the sales person ended up selling me the phone for free.

i havent replaced my cell phone yet. Neither my basic home or work phone

I've never had to replace my phone. I drop it a ton too  :dontknow:

I know 2 friends who accidentally dropped their phone in the toilet. Their phone still work.  ;D
