Have you had to replace your phones?
« on: June 28, 2012, 06:16:52 am »
I've replaced my phone because I've dropped it too many times and got it wet and it resulted in loss of audio on my end. Others I called couldn't hear my voice, but I could hear their voices. The company that made my phone sent me a new free of charge  ;D.

Yes, multiple times. I either break it, lose it or get tired of it. I'm still trying o find the perfect phone for me.

Yes, unfortunately.  A few weeks ago I went running and then it started to rain and my phone ended up getting wet.  Had to get a replacement after having the other phone for only bout 2 months.  I won't be running in the rain with my phone anymore until I get a waterproof case.    ::)

yes but I used gift cards I earned on-line for Amazon.com to buy a new one so I basically got it for free.

I always forget the phone in my pocket and then washed it in the laundry

I really just upgrade when I want a new phone. I've only had to replace one phone because it was broken - the screen went out. That was 3 years of use. And the one time I had one stolen. Other than that I really don't NEED a new one.

I dropped my first smartphone (Blackberry) quite a number of years ago and in those days I wasn't as diligent backing up my content. Nowadays I have a scheduled process for back-up, a reassurance for a possible replacement phone if damaged and the option to request a remote data wipe if lost/stolen.

I haven't, but my father has a million times over. He fixes small machines and apparently finds himself near a lot of water tanks and buckets, half of which have met his cell phones.  ::)

Thankfully, it's a company phone so he hasn't had to go through the hassle of dealing with the cell company!

Never. I usually treat my phones very well because I'm kinda overprotective of them.

It sounds like everyone is talking about cell phones.  I just replaced mine to upgrade to a newer model.  I'm considering replacing my landline phone too because the battery isn't holding a charge long and it was a hand-me-down from a friend.  :peace:
