I have a nice memory of a Fourth of July celebration when I was living in Norfolk, Virginia.
I was a live-in caregiver. The lady's son and his wife lived in Hampton, Virginia.
We were invited to the house on the water.
The fireworks displayed over the water with their reflection was spectacular!

Thanks Annette!!! I attended a celebration (7/3) last night and couldn't help thinking, I was really unsure if we should celebrate Independence day at all, this year.

The is mainly due to the stressors of where I am at. I live in Arizona. The Supreme Court just said an Arizona (SB1070) law that was passed was unconstitutional (majority of it). Our Governor has turned the federal government against Arizona. So we have gone from little support from the feds to no support at all.

The economy continues to suck here and no changes in store in the foreseeable future. It's just not a great time in life. I am an American. I am proud to say that!! Happy Birthday, America!  May the next year better and a damn sight better then the old one. God Help us all!
