Only bad thing about the dinner choices mentioned here, including hot dogs, is that for the most part they're not healthy.

Had a friend who could well afford better meals die with eating cold cuts and hot dogs every day as a contributing factor. And another who made over $100k a year, die due to a bad diet. All young men, younger then me. You don't need to eat meat, you can get protein from other sources. I say that as a former vegetarian and vegan. You can make the center of your meals vegetables. Then add combinations for protein like beans and rice, but there are many more combinations so you don't get bored. I look for deals, believe it or not I went to one store the other day and found whole chicken legs for $0.49 per pound. Nothing was mentioned about it in the paper, just a spot sale. And I went to a place called Corrados they had extra large bags of vegetables and fruit for $2.00, plus whole chickens for $0.89 per pound and whitings for $1.79. I did all the initial comparison shopping and location finding from my computer.

This is good advice in this post.  I eat meat myself, but I prefer vegetarian alternatives.  You could try buying veggie burgers (these offer more protein) or tofu.  Instead of ramen noodles, eat shirataki noodles.  Since shirataki noodles are made from soybeans, they naturally have no flavor.  But there are recipes online for you to try out.  Eating healthy can be expensive but it benefits your health in the long-run.  It's also a lot cheaper than eating out.

Sometimes, when ground beef is too expensive at the grocery store.  It costs $10-$15 for a family pack of ground beef at my favorite grocery store.  To add meat to my beans, I sometimes go to the 99 cent store and purchase 2 saugages ( 1 pack) for 99 cents, cook them, chop them up and add to my cooked beans.  Another way I get meat, is to go to a local meat market and buy my ground beef by the pound, for $3.69 a pound.  Sometimes, when my money is low, I only buy a half a pound of ground beef.  I usually use my ground beef to make taco meat.  I can get taco seasoning for 3 or 4 packs for $1.  The taco shells can be purchased for 1 box 66 cents or 2 boxes for $1.  I get my lettuce and tomatoes from the 99 cents store.  I usually keep taco sauce, from Jack in the Box or salsa on hand.  Then, I use the taco meat to make tacos.  Whatever is left over is used to make nachos.  I guess, I could use the left over taco meat in my beans?

You can add pork and beans to your weiners.  Cut up the weiners and add to your pork and beans.   Voila, you have beenies weenies.  If you price a can of beenies weenies, it usually cost more than what you paid for 1 pack of weiners and 1 16 oz. can of pork and beans.

buy a can of spaghetti sauce then chop up some hotdogs in small pieces and then mix it up with the sauce.  Perfect spaghetti/dog dinner

I like hot dogs every now and again but don't think I could eat them for a solid week or more.  I say that, but of course if you have no choice, you do what you have to.  I like ramean noodles too but couldn't eat them for an extended period either.  Now chicken, I probably could eat indefinitely but only if its the white meat; don't like dark meat at all on chicken or turkey.  Used to eat a lot of tuna in water and that was pretty cheap but I got burned out on it and rarely eat it now.

I guess you could have them a few nights a week but I don't know about in a row- I'm not a big fan but I like them once in a while. If you have to eat them you need to get creative and look for recipes other than in a bun with mustard and ketchup

If you research on the net, you can find cheap and healthy alternatives. I'd rather wear the same cheap clothes 4 days in a row than skimp on what I put inside my body

Probably from all the preservatives and other unnatural ingredients in the meat.  Plus, pork is the worst thing you can eat in this world.  If you are a believer, you would know to avoid this type of "food" like the plague! Pigs don't even have sweat glands, so the toxins are retained even after being slaughtered.  Not to mention, it is very fattening as well.
