Burn out?
« on: July 24, 2012, 12:45:52 pm »
Does any one else ever get burnt out doing surveys?  The first 6 months I was on here I cashed out every month.  Now I'm having a hard time getting motivated to do the surveys.  In fact I'm not doing the daily email and PTC some days.  I'm hoping it gets better this fall after the kids are back in school.

@mmegel, yes those surveys are very draining ??? I guess it's because they ask the same questions over & over. Also you can get almost through to the end and they say you disqualified. It's very frustrating yet it's the easiest way to cash out every month. Keep up the fight, that's what I'm doing. Best wishes for your summer time with the kids.

I am at that stage. It is a brain drain. I think my problem is I am on too many survey sites.
I am considering dumping a few.
It won't be fusioncash though, this one works!!

I don't get a chance to burn out on surveys because I rarely qualify.  I'm usually really excited to complete one when it looks like I am actually going forward.  And it's such a great reward when you get credited with $1.00 or more.  But I can see where you would get really tired of doing them if you were accepted every day.  They DO make your brain work, asking so many details and opinions, but hey, I guess that's what a survey IS!!!  If you are getting burnout, try to look at the silver lining.  At least you are being accepted enough times that burnout is an issue, and you have the opportunity to take the survey or not.

I have this problem too sometimes. My suggestion? Trying getting up in the middle of a survey to do something else for a few minutes. Like go outside, look around, take a few good breaths, brew a cup of coffee. I also am a big fan of playing LOTS of music while I'm doing surveys. I tried doing them in silence before and I swear it gives me brain cramps. The nice thing about most surveys are that there's no time limit, so you can just leave the browser open. Try it out!  ;D

I have made visiting FC a part of my daily morning routine.

I start with the daily email and them complete the paid to click, the paid videos & them on to the forum to do a few posts.

Since it only takes a few minutes each day I never get burned out and am cashing out $30 every 3 months.

Thanks everyone!  I'm not completely giving up.  I'm just going to lay off the surveys for awhile.  I didn't get to cash out in May but I did June.  Also not going to get to cash out in July.  I'm just going to take it slow the next few months and see if I can get motivated again.  Hopefully I can get back to cashing out every month again this fall.

I've been like that. I used to be a survey machine, now I get sick of it. I usually only do surveys on sites when I absolutely have to.

There are times I feel burned out but when I step back and think what I could be doing to make some extra cash compared to being home with my kids than I get a reboost of dedication towards it.  I've started branching out too...doing the tasks to avoid that bogged down feeling.  Also I think it's important to still make time for yourself otherwise what's the point in the end?

Be careful, though.  Some survey companies will revoke your credit if you are among the very fastest or slowest to complete the survey.  If you take a 30 minute break, it could be problematic.  Certainly you can get up and stretch/walk around for a few minutes, though.

This only applies to some survey companies, not all.

YES THAT IS SO TRUE ABOUT THE SURVEYS. THE MEMBERS ANSWER THE QUESTION JUST TO HEAR THAT YOU HAVE BEEN DISQUALIFIED. I THINK WE THE MEMBERS SHOULD GET .10 CREDIT FOR DOING THEM.

THIS! I was really committed to them at first, but then it got really old being denied alllll the time. I've completely stopped at this point. I was thinking I might spend some more time on it while I'm on maternity leave, since at that point every buck will be extra important, but I mainly stick to the daily stuff now and supplement every once in awhile when a cool offer pops up. It does mean that I don't cash out every single month though... :(
