I like the warehouse stores but have found they occasionally discontinue items I like.  :'(
But they are great for school/work lunch supplies!!

If you have a big family, a warehouse could definitely be a really good idea. Even if I switched most of my shopping to a warehouse club, I would still likely use grocery stores for some things.

I dont like that you have to become a member or pay dues to be a member of wharehouses. Sometimes, I wish they would be open like grocery stores...

I use Costco for a lot of things. I generally get most of our meat and fish there (buy in bulk and freeze!) and things like toilet paper, detergent, etc. I find these kinds of items in bulk end up being a lot cheaper. Then I use a regular grocery store for things I don't need in bulk, like milk, cheese, bread, lunch meat, vegetables, etc - stuff that would go bad if I bought it in bulk. This seems to be the cheapest for me.

I have a membership to BJ's, I take family members and we split some of the bulk items.  It still saves us money over the long haul.  I think it just depends on what you need for your particular family.  Some items like paper towels or toilet paper will last quite a while.

I would say that it depends on what you're looking for.Warehouse club for kids juices, snacks, cereals or for cooking supplies like oil but grocery store for smaller items like hot dogs, fruits and things you need really fast. Warehouses are better for stocking up for  a few weeks or a month.

I do all of my shopping at the grocery store.  Since it is only my husband and myself, I don't need to shop on bulk.
