Favorite Fruit?
« on: August 29, 2012, 12:57:51 pm »
I've been trying to get in the habit of at least SNACKING healthy lately, but the problem is I'm getting sick of eating the same things over and over!

What's your favorite fruit to munch on? Preferably something out of the ordinary!

Kiwi berries are a fruit I love,  used to eat them when we were young and no one else new what they were. Then I love mangoes, but they cost a lot up north here. You can grow your own in Florida. My brother grows persimmons in San Diego, CA, love them as well. And the old stand bye melons are great. The supermarket has had them on sale several times this summer. Papaya...never can get enough. We used to pick fruit from the trees in our town when I was young. The best free, lol , sweet black cherries, black berries mul-berries and peaches all those trees are gone now Nothing special about them except they were free. And very few people new where the cherry tree was located.

Grapes.  The sweeter, the better.  Strawberries, when combined with cream or ice cream.

I like peaches, strawberries and blueberries. When I was a kid, we had a peach tree... used to eat peaches all day in the summer

You don't have to eat the same fruit everyday.  There are just too many out there-take a chance and change up and buy something completely different or do a fruit salad.  Just a suggestion.

Bananas are my favorite but I like blueberries and I used to like strawberries with strawberry short cake but just strawberries by themselves are too sour for me

I love all fruits.  It is so hard to choose my favorite fruit.  My favorite fruit is bananas.  Bananas are delicious and a terrific source of potassium.
