I am someone who is in public speaking.  I enjoyed Condeleeza Rice's speech.  I wish she would run for office.

I am sooo right there with you.  Who cares about these obnoxious conventions other than those who have nothing better to do with their lives?  If these candidates(democrats and republicans alike) really cared they would collaberate, take the hundreds of millions that they are wasting on these stupid conventions, and spend the money on reducing the national debt, reducing the cost of health care and solidifying our nation. Instead they waste our time hoping that we don't see through the transparency of their ongoing and never-ending lies.

Political coverage on the whole makes me want to bang my head against the desk. Are their really people vapid enough to believe the things that these politicians say? No one is going to change or save the country in 4 years. No one! I don't understand how anyone can be a "hardcore Republican" or "hardcore Democrat" and live and breathe every word a certain group of politicians put out there.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's easy to see that neither side is doing that great of a job and compromise of int eh Senate and Congress is the answer, no matter who the president is!
