kind of like the tv if you don't like the channel then change it some folks seem to have the same stuff to talk about but you can't block anyone unless they are including bad language.this place is kinda good unlike facebook where you know the people here you can say stuff to strangers you might not say to ones you know.

Yes, you can block people on the Forum.  Just go to the left side of the screen and click "Ignore" under the username of the person you want to block.  It's great!!!!!

No, one member cannot actually "block" another from posting to FC forums by using the 'ignore' function.  What using the 'ignore' button does is only "block" the user's view of ignored posts.  Those posts are still there on the forums for any other members to read and quote.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

So is loose sand, for ostriches, (or those unable to have their weak declarations challenged).

I hear you about the annoying people. I find some to be very nasty and sarcastic. I hit the ignore button and block them. Poof be gone....

They aren't "gone"; it' just that the fearful can't see their posts from underneath their 'blankets'. What using the 'ignore' button does is only "block" the user's view of ignored posts.  Those posts are still there on the forums for any other members to read and quote.

I might be wrong, but I believe if you just click the Ignore button under their username, then you never have to see their posts again.  Now, if they are quoted, I believe you see the quote then, but you won't see the actual post.

They would, however, see the actual posted if quoted entirely.  Using the ignore button doesn't block, remove or delete a post from the forums; it merely blinds the user to a post.

Okay.  Thanks for the clarification.  I haven't blocked anyone so I didn't no for sure but figured it was worth mentioning that it doesn't completely wipe out everything from that person.

No problem.  A person using the ignore function is merely applying it to their own view and no one else's.  My previous post was a clarification that the 'ignored' posts still appear on the forums, untouched.
