Think about those who have no family. Suicide rates are the highest during the holidays. Crime soars. The holidays are nothing more than a business ploy do draw shoppers out in all sorts of inclement weather.

I love the holiday times. I have alot of family thats out of town so thanksgiving and christmas is something we all look forward to becasue we know we'll see each other. TO cathc up, laugh, talk, cry and just be in the midst of one another company. My grandfather passed away when i was 18 and my grandma still makes sure we get together as always. Shes getting older so the time with her is precious. This day and time we need family. At the end of the day, family is always there.

i love the holidays. i cant wait to decorate for halloween then christmas!!!

I have been wondering about whether I should let my two daughters celebrate Holloween. Today is not like the old days with witches and crazy people. Now days its pretty much dressing up and candy getting for children. For me theres the candy safty issues and whether it is ok for Christians. Thanksgiving and Christmas are major bad for my diet. I just had a baby three months ago and still trying to loss the pregnancy weight.

I am excited for the holidays but also a little nervous.  There is always so much turmoil in the family during the holidays.  You never know who is going to show up.
