Muscle Jerks
« on: October 06, 2012, 12:32:40 pm »
I was wondering if anyone has every experienced a condition where while working on the PC or doing any kind of task that requires some mental concentration, you get
muscle jerks/twitches in the arms.  I have had it where I have actually thrown the computer mouse or any object I was holding in my hand.  Sometimes they are mild, sometimes
they have quite strong.  I just want to know if this is a result of tiredness, stress, anxiety or is there a just cause to see a doctor.

Using a PC is a physical and mental workout. Do some warm up exercises before and after using your computer.

that's happened to me before...
one time, i was at the post office and the teller handed
me my change back, and i accidentally threw it across
the counter back at her!  :sad1: i didn't mean to, it was
a weird muscle jerk that i didn't expect. i was so embarrassed,
haha! i've also tossed things without meaning to... sorta like
dropping something, but different.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

yeah, I think I have experienced something like that but, with my legs. I would go to bed and I would feel one of my legs jerk/twitch during the night. Its really weird if you ask me.

It sounds like it could be symptoms of a neurological disorder.  I'd be seeing a Dr. about that.
Have a great day!

Everyone gets thee 'jerks' or ticks.
It is just a misfire with synapsis' in the brain.
If it is a very regular occurance, I would go see a doctor. it could be a symptom of something worse.
I get them a few times a week.
One time in high school I actually flung a pencil across the room and hit someone in the head. Talk about EMBARASSING.

Involuntary muscle jerks can happen for a variety of reasons: pain (distress or eustress,) anxiety, nervousness, pinched nerves, physical trauma, neurological disorders, or just old age; should you not be healthy/active, and the jerks occur frequently, I would advise that you consult a doctor.

LOL.. I have not experienced any muscle jerks yet, but your topic got me laughing when I read it. Sorry, I'm not poking fun at you just saying it sounded funny when I read it.
