getting better.  I don't think it's were people would like it to be, but at least it's improving.  I'd rather slow progress than no progress or regress.

It's getting better, but still needs to improve further.

The economy in southern Illinois is horrible.
I have not seen any improvements and people are struggling to survive.
I still have hope things will turn around soon.

I think it is getting better here. There are more help wanted ads and they are not just for seasonal retail.

I think it depends on what sector you're in. There are a lot of people out of work here in the legal industry.  Tech has also taken a huge hit.

Depends on where you're at.  I've read that some locations are rebounding nicely while many others are still struggling.

I realize this is nowhere-near a scientific measure, but--every day I drive by the "career center" (read: unemployment office) in my area--and the last couple of weeks there have been FAR fewer cars than usual--and by that I mean four or five in the client parking area as opposed to 12-15.  Jobs are far from plentiful, but things are getting better.  Also, we are slated to get a new Kroger Marketplace built here in the spring.  Things are beginning to come back--not as quickly as any of us would like , I know.  Then again--that was quite a Titanic plunge we took a few years ago.

I'm not sure if it's getting better or worse. For me this was the worst year ever, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger..right?

IT's not much better. I work in a restrant and tips suck, people who come in that you would think would give at least 18% are only giving 10%, but saying how much they appreciate your service. Sorry but words don't pay my bills

I thinks the economy is getting worse. The GDP has been reducing from 4.+ to just 1.+ since Obama has been president. Major companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM has seen a reduction in earnings, unemployment is hovering around 8 percent, Oil prices is going through the roof, which means the inflation is on the rise. Wages are not improving. The national dept. ceiling is growing daily over 16 trillion. WORSE WORSE WORSE. Obama is out of his league.

Well I just hope if Romney gets in he does what he says he's gonna do.  Hopefully its not just another case of I'll do this and I'll do that and after they get into office..... they don't do anything!

The economy is still so bad that I just moved to Canada.  Tax, borrow, and spend politics are prolonging this recession.

Still the same, millions of people still out of work, gas prices going up which makes everything we buy go up.
