I pretty much like any kind of music except for Raggae and Rap.  Some Hip hop and Country is ok.  But mostly listen to 80s stuff, Alternative, New Age.

Over the years, I've gone through a couple phases where I would spend more time (actually all my time, or very close to it) listening to only genre and then I'd start transitioning into something different. One thing that remains a constant is rock music & metal. I'm a little picky though when it comes to both, there is some stuff out there that's in those genres that I find to be crap. I suppose that goes with pretty much any genre though. I'll listen to jazz, classical, & country. I can listen to some of the older rap/hip-hop and r&b, but I'm pretty picky about that stuff too. Some times, it all comes down to the mood I'm in as to what I can tolerate or not.

I don’t think Kesha can sing.  I am all about the words to a song and the way a singer sings them.  She just has this voice that’s like nails on a chalkboard.  However the way she drives her voice into the synthesizers is why I get why she’s so popular.  She totally needs those synths.  And she’s luck she came out now when a ‘club’ electronic sound is currently popular.  If she came out like five years before she did she probably would have been a one hit wonder and died.

I agree, I don't think she can really sing.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

while I am glad that Florida Georgia Line made it to number one with their first single Cruise, it does seem a bit weird to hit the top of the charts now.  Oh don’t get me wrong, I like the song.  It’s just that Cruise is a great summer song.  I have it on my summer country music playlist.  But its December.  You know, winter.  Unless everyone in the middle of winter wishes it was summer I could have seen it hitting the top of the charts in like Aug at the latest.  You know the way Pontoon by Little Big Town did.

I love christian hymns and spirituals. Classical music is high on my list also. Music is a gift from God.

I like many types of songs as long as they convey a message or tell a story.  Sometimes even if the lyrics do not make much sense, as long as the melody is good.
