Just watched the Kingsman: The Secret Service Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson Mark Strong Taron Egerton and Michael Caine.  I just have to say it was awesome!  There was action to match the Bourne movies and humor to match the Mission Impossible movies.  I especially loved (spoiler alert!) Samuel L. Jackson as the villain/comedy relief.  That lisp he uses in the movie is priceless.  It is definitely a satire of all the great spy movies rolled into one.  If you don’t mind the plot being a takeoff of an episode of the Marvel TV show Agent Carter, the movie is definitely a must see.

Can’t believe all the special effects in Jupiter Ascending.  I have to say while the rest of the characters are a bit flat, you can’t fault Sean Bean in his cameo nor Channing Tatum.  I mean who doesn’t want to see a half naked Tatum running around beating up aliens?  Sure he’s got colored contacts and his hair is died blond and he’s got wolf ears but the point is it’s still Tatum.  If he wasn’t in it, I don’t know that I would enjoy it that much.  It’s flashy without very much of a plot.  I guess it wasn’t suppose to have much of a plot.  One was just supposed to get lost in all the special effects of the movie.  Though I have to again say that without Tatum, I wouldn’t.

I can’t believe they are doing a remake of the cult classic Point Break which put Keanu Reeves up against Patrick Swayze.  Has Hollywood really run out of ideas that we need to dig up classic movies and try to make them (according to the new director) ‘better’?

I watched Jupiter Ascending and honestly I don’t get the ending.  (Spoiler Alert) Jupiter belongs to the head royal family (albeit by the end it’s only her and one daughter left) and owns Earth yet she and her mom are back to scrubbing toilets while the rest of the family goes back to scrapping by for money?  I don’t know, after the two sons are killed shouldn’t Jupiter have gotten their shares?  At least the money they had to help her family out.  She’s nearly a poor as when she started out expect she now owns Earth so it can’t be harvested.  Honestly it’s like a big special of the DreamWorks Cartoon Antz, which come to think of it, I like that better.

I am hoping there will be another Sherlock Holmes moving coming out soon, the series with Robert Downey Jr. are the best, i love all of them! He is one of my favorite actors.

I recently saw the new Fantastic Four. Didn't enjoy it at all. It just loses the entire spirit of what makes them a team.

So glad they didn’t kill off Sean Bean in Jupiter Ascending.  I really enjoy him in whatever movie he’s in.  I like the way they play off him since he’s done both the hero and villain roles so in this movie his character is a bit of both.

My grand kids was visiting me here in Atlanta, they live in Minnesota. On their to do list was a tour of downtown Atlanta. So we toured the town and other areas of Atlanta that they wanted see. At the end of the day wanted me to watch The Walking Dead with them.

I don't usually watch movies like that but some how they convinced and oh my goodness, I had no idea that it was filmed here in Atlanta.  Now when I am downtown that is all I think about.

I am convinced now that they had planed the whole thing before they got here.

I'm getting Robin Williams' last movie, Boulevard, in the mail today. :( I miss him.

Just watched Fast and Furious 7 and it was AWESOME!  There was tons of action and humor, though I think they over-killed Tyrese Gibson’s squeamishness.  They did a wonderful job super-imposing Paul Walker that there is only one real scene at the end on the beach that if you look close you can tell it’s not him.  Otherwise you would never know he only made about half the film.  The only true disappointment I have is that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wasn’t in it more since he is only in the beginning and the end.  I will say those two major scenes he’s in—especially the end—more than made up for him not being in the movie.
